Inside out (Ikea)
IKEA have just brought out a great new range of bright chairs that you could have in your bedroom until the summer arrives and then bring inside again in the autumn.
Designer Wiebke Braasch describes them like this
“My inspiration for VÄNÖ came from flower petals I found in my own garden. By using soft shapes and happy colours I wanted to give the chair a playful, summery appearance. You can use it as a comfortable chair indoors or in the garden where the low seat puts you close to the lawn. I hope that VÄNÖ will feel like a good friend that you will want to be with all the time.”

Or if you are a bit of a rocker, choose this wooden chair and add comfortable cushions for more of a bedroom feel.
Ikea offer a huge range of fabrics in patterns and plains to dress their inside/out chairs and they are inexpensive so you can afford to ring the changes by the season and by the room. For your bedroom choose something more feminine with pretty chintzy colours or match the colours in your bedding or décor but then for the summer choose bold practical colours that will compliment the colours of summer.
Many of us won’t be able to afford a holiday this year so instead give your bedroom and outside space a bright new feel with new chairs and cushions that you can use all year round.
